Chocolate Macaroons
I always love a recipe with only 4 ingredients – these chocolate macaroons taste as good as they are simple.
PREP TIME: 20 minutes
BAKE TIME: 15 minutes
SERVINGS: Makes 18 cookies
INGREDIENTS
3 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
¾ of a 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk (3/4 cups)
pinch of salt
1 - 7 ounce bag of sweetened shredded coconut
1 tsp vanilla extract
PREPARATION
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. I the bowl of a double boiler, combine chocolate, condensed milk, and salt. Heat until melted and continue stirring until mixture thickens. Remove from heat and add coconut and vanilla. Stir to combine well.
With a tablespoon, scoop out the mixture onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until set. Let cool on wire racks.
